TR-4 as Coach and Pc: Section 1

Page 2 of 5: Drill 1a

Place a real doll or teddy bear or something in front of you to be a terminal you can say things to. Imagine this is the student/auditor that you are coaching. Don't just talk out into open space and imagine someone or something there.

  1. Now you will play the parts of the coach and pc.

  2. This is Drill 1.

  3. As coach, say aloud "TR-4. Start!"

  4. Click on Drill 1a. You will hear the student ask, "Do birds fly?"

  5. As pc, answer the question properly, so there should be no doubt that you have answered the question. Say aloud, "Yes, they do" or "As long as they have wings" or whatever, but give a simple answer to the question. Close the screen where the student asked the question.

  6. Still as pc, press the "I answered auditing question" link. Do this in addition to having answered the question aloud. Hear the student say, "Good. Do birds fly?"

  7. As coach, grade the student's action in acknowledging the pc's answer and asking a new question. Click "Student acked, asked new question--Good", meaning you as coach determined that the student took the right action based on your response as pc. You'll get a "correct" grade on your coaching action. Close that screen and the one where the student said "Good. Do birds fly?".

  8. Continue this drill on the next page.
