Have a real doll or teddy bear or something in front of you to be a terminal you can say things to. Don't just talk out into open space and imagine someone or something there.

  1. Now repeat the steps of the earlier drills, but deliberately coach wrongly. So in Drill 1, say aloud, "Flunk! That wasn't a half-ack. Start!"

  2. Enter your grading of the student's performance in the computer by clicking the link, "Student gave ack that ended cycle--Flunk". Note your coaching action receives an "Incorrect" mark.

  3. Similarly, coach wrongly on Drills 2 and 3, entering your coaching comments into the computer each time and being graded as a coach each time.

  4. Finally, go through Drills 1-3 again, coaching correctly this time.

  5. Repeat these steps until you're comfortable with this procedure.

  6. End off the drilling for now by saying aloud, "That's it".
