TR-1 as Coach and Pc: Section 3

Page 1 of 2: Drill 1

  1. Now you will play the part of the coach.

  2. Say aloud "TR-1. Start!"

  3. Then click on "Drill 1: Item 01". The student will give the first item.

  4. You will grade the student's effort, based on whether he is speaking clearly, or not. If it sounds clear and you got all the words, then it is good. If not, then it is a flunk.

  5. For "unclear" speech, the student may mumble, he may chew up some words one way or another, but it will not be clear.

  6. Close the movie after hearing it once. Grade it by either saying "Good" and clicking the "Good" link; or by saying "Flunk! You mumbled" (or as appropriate). "Start!" and also clicking on the "Flunk" link.

  7. A screen will appear marking your coaching action: "Correct" or "Incorrect". Close this screen.

  8. Repeat this procedure with the other Drill 1 items down through Item 10.

  9. Repeat the above steps if you need to.
